Ten15 is one of San Francisco’s premier night life venues and has been hosting some of the worlds best DJ’s for over 20 years. Often considered the birth place of clubbing, Ten15 is proud to be an electronic music pioneer; as the music has been playing out of its system for as long as anyone can remember. Ten15 has an unparalleled commitment to quality programming, stellar entertainment and providing the perfect venue for cutting edge corporate and private events.
The transformation of Ten15 began in the early 1980s, when the 1015 address housed the world famous Sutro bathhouse. A maze of hot tubs lay buried beneath what is now the main dance floor, by 1985 the bathhouse had been converted to Major Ponds, the first live music venue to be housed at the 1015 location. Lucky for you, in 1986 Ira Sandler took over management of the ailing Major Ponds and founded Das Klub. Which grew to be San Francisco’s largest, over-18, after hour’s spot, the venue changed with the times becoming one of the cities most popular over-21 clubs, during this time it was renamed Martini. Fast-forward to 1996 when Ten15 launched their popular weekend programming, Spundae and Release. The Spundae and Release combo would later become the longest running weekend party in San Francisco. These events sparked multiple visionary programs hosted by Ten15 and other clubs around the world followed suit.
Today, Ten15 continues to invest and develop unprecedented sound, lighting effects, and pyrotechnics (see our technical specs). Ten15 is proud to host the most powerful and advanced technological output of any club in San Francisco. This technology has contributed to Ten15’s stellar reputation that has been boasted by the numerous awards and accolades the club has gathered over the years. Including:
- DanceStar USA’s Best Club in America @ The American Dance Music Awards in Miami
- Best of the Bay’s Best Dance Club @ S.F. Bay Guardian 5 Years in a row
- Best Dance Club @ CitySearch
- Digital City’s Best Club in San Francisco
